In 2001 my team sold our Avaya Solutions Provider to the well run Eze Castle Integration (www.eci.com). I stayed on with ECI as Managing Director for my team for the next five years.

My next position was with Intuition Consulting (http://intuition.com.sg/) based in Singapore as a Senior Consultant. Intuition is a global firm of management consultants focusing on the IT industry vendors and their routes to market providing advice on sales growth and profitability to such companies as Hewlett-Packard and Cisco Systems. What I often say is that had I been a consultant with Intuition first and then started a Solutions Provider, I would have been far more successful. My intent with this blog is to share with you what I learned in that experience and to enable you to use that lesson and knowledge to help you manage a more successful, profitable business.

Consulting Engagements with Cisco Systems, Inc:

  • Conducted Channel Partner Growth Assessment Workshops for Cisco in the United States and in Emerging Markets with 30 Cisco’s global channel partners that were best positioned for accelerated growth.
  • Instructor for Cisco Sales Master Series covering: Partner Profitability, Partner Potential and Growth Strategies

Consulting Engagements with Hewlett Packard, Inc:

  • Created Partner Enablement sales strategy for the highly strategic launch of HP’s Mid-Market BladeSystem (C3000). Designed and delivered a software application for HP that delivers a sales training simulation program to teach consultative selling skills.
  • Conducted Sales Simulation Workshop for HP Networking Managers and Sales Team – ProCurve: How to Compete Against Cisco
  • Created Partner Enablement Sales Playbook and eLearning program for HP’s Thin Client channel strategy.
  • Conducted Workshops for HP’s for Public Sector/SLED.
  • Delivered Content and conducted Workshop: Accelerating Partner Growth in the Mid-Market – SPO National Sales Conference
  • Created Playbooks and eLearning programs for HP’s Personal Solutions Group: Up-sell and Attach.
